The OEM rubber bushings on the C7 Corvette manual shifter boxes often need replacement after only a few thousand miles. The symptom is excessive or sloppy shift lever movement and difficulty in up shift/down shift, excessive vibration or rattling of the shift knob. Our bushings are a tighter fit so they do a much better job of managing the vibration harmonics in the shifter assembly which results in the shifter rattle. As you have learned, its all about managing the harmonics between the torque tube and the shifter box, shifter assembly, and knob.
